Sepra watched as Niros sprinted back into the forest. Snow gently began to fall as she stood in front of the gates of another mansion.
It was more gaudy than her parents' estate; the gates were twice as high, ornate, and tipped with spears; the main entrance was a courtyard of monuments to the Coybre name and the ground below it were squares, each vast slab made of pure marble. Her own family's mansion was dwarfed next to theirs.
Sepra carefully opened the gate, which produced creaks from the iron hinges. She stepped lightly onto the property, the quickly gathering snow alre

"I want you to leave this house," he told her from the other side of the unlit room. The man's eyes gave off a ghastly, menacing light, illuminating Sepra's face and clothes in a soft glow. "The only reason you're still alive is because you inhabit my daughter's body. If not for her, I would paint these walls with your foul and dirty blood, monster." The man's eyes burned with an intense shimmer, flooding the dark room with more ominous light.
